About the adventure
You're just a few adventurers who joined the vaunted guild, Stax.. This wasn't supposed to happen. This wasn't supposed to happen. Everything is covered in blood. Everything is dying or dead. You represent the last handful of adventurers in the world. That thing....that thing killed so many people....There's a lich....no *the* Lich and it's corrupting massive parts of the world, Aevos. You can't quite remember everything you saw or heard...and neither can your party...but before the Lich infested the world you heard the name "Sol-Dre," and something about the universal spectrum? But you're not helpless. You have a world of resources and a plethora of knowledge on hand. High above the clouds, towering over the heavens, there's one last refuge: The Stacked Castle. Inside it you will find weapons, knowledge, lore, training centers, and a handful of allies. This campaign will span levels 1-20. It is designed to either be fast tracked--if your party wants to complete it posthaste--or a slow burn if you want to play the story out for years. The Stacked Castle will incorporate a base of operations for your party that you can customize to fill your needs, as well as give the players a sense of accomplishment and ownership of the world. This game is for you if you like: horror; tales of redemption and falls from glory; mysteries; consequential roleplay and hard-hitting combat. You don't need to be a seasoned veteran to enjoy this campaign, but if you are you won't be bombarded by boring tropes and paint by numbers storytelling. TPK's are on the table, but mostly in the mid-to-later-levels. This campaign rewards players who are active thinkers, roleplayers, and those who enjoy strategic combat. It's not a fair fight....but it's not unwinnable. Are you in?

Additional Details
How to prepare
Microphone required. Roll 20 Account required. No worries as this is free. D&D Beyond account heavily suggested. I should say that this is required, but if your heart is set on another formatting of characters I will hear you out, even if the answer is most likely no. Discord account required. Virtual tabletop (an extension) for this game will be made available to players, but if you want to roll your own dice, I trust my players. I don't expect players to know every rule, but I do hope that the players have a general understanding of how their class works. Just the basics. (=
What I provide
I bring everything. I have every D&D book on D&D Beyond. Premium subscription to Roll20, maps, music, etc. But mostly I bring compelling ideas, thoughtful encounters, and a means to empower the players.
Gameplay details
Murder; Genocide; unbalanced power dynamics.

How will character creation work
You will start at level three. We can do a session zero all the characters can be created before the first session. Point buy will be used, unless a player wants to role their own dice, which I am open to. All characters will be built/represented on DnD Beyond. I don't care if there are multiple players running the same class/similar build. In the event that the players do care, I will ask the player who is either playing, or requested to play, the class/build first if they care. This has come up once or twice, and that's the fairest solution that I've found.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: High
- Roleplay: High
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: None
