About the adventure

The new Shadowdark RPG is an exciting fusion of Old School gaming mixed with modern design. It has been called "OSR meets 5e." "Wavestone Monolith" is an adventure by Kelsey Dionne, the creator of Shadowdark. A seaside expedition turns up ancient secrets and grotesque revelations. How to prepare

If you have a chance to download the free Shadowdark quickstart, please feel free to glance over that, but also *hold all questions about character creation (we are using pregens) until the session begins. That way we'll all on the same page.

What I provide

I come with decades of knowledge, spanning a multifarious range of editions and RPG systems (not just D&D!). I pride myself on finishing my oneshots on time, with a satisfying beginning, middle, and end. I believe in the motto "Roll Less, Do More," rather than letting complex rules slow things down. I am a voracious reader (fiction and nonfiction) and an aspiring RPG adventure writer myself. My character voices are improving as of late, and I've been told many of my NPCs are actually entertaining! :-D I'm great at listening to players and managing the spotlight effectively, offering helpful options, and saying "yes, and" in the most empowering way.

Gameplay details

Players will explore a dungeon-esque structure full of mystery and some bizarre monsters. The rules are very flexible and somewhat different, culturally, than what is typical in 5e. Don't be afraid to take risks, but try to think of ways to bypass danger using creativity.

How will character creation work

We will use *pregenerated characters for this this session! Please do *not worry about creating characters prior to the session -- we will discuss everything in detail face to face. :-) I will share those files on my Discord server 2 hours prior to our session.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
