About the adventure

Do you have what it takes to track down a slippery goblin child who's been terrorizing the local farmers' livestock? They've run away from the nearby goblin village and has spent the past few days chasing chickens, throwing rocks into the river to scare the fish, and generally being a nuisance. They need to be tracked down and sent back home, their parents must be worried sick! This is a oneshot adventure for Pathfinder 2E designed to teach the basics of the game, inspired by Peglin and the Mothership module "There's a Goblin on Icarus Station". The advenure is highly modular, so if there's any aspect of the rules of PF2 you want highlighting or focusing on, just let me know and I can tweak the adventure to suit your needs. The campaign will be starting from level 1, and will run for as long as everyone's still having fun. Of course, goblin shenanigans can only take us so far, so expect new adventures if you stick around for more than a few sessions. Also, of course, the session 0 is free; if the site charges you the cost will be refunded as Startplaying.games credit.

How to prepare

Microphones and Discord accounts will be needed for communication, as well as access to a compuer and a Forge account. I'm hosting my Foundry server on the website Forge-vtt.com, so the Forge account is required to access our campaign's server. Reading the rules ahead of time isn't necessary, but if you want to have a look through them and don't own the rulebooks, a free version of the Pathfinder 2e rules are hosted on this site: 2e.aonprd.com

What I provide

I will be bringing my Foundry server, a collection of pregens, 11 years GMing experience, and professional training in the art of storytelling.

Gameplay details

This campaign is designed to introduce new players to a bit of everything in a low-stakes environment; it's highly modular and I'm open to player input on what parts of Pathfinder they are most interested in and I should focus on for tthis campaign. Lines, veils, stars, and wishes will be kept in channels on my Discord server so everyone can see them, alongside your checklist if you wish to share it. The session 0 will cover character creation, basic rules, and any of the other safety tools (cards, lines, veils, etc) that we haven't had the opportunity to discuss prior to the session. I'm also open to discussing all of this stuff outside of the session 0 if you prefer.

How will character creation work

We'll be making characters as a group during the session 0. It would be helpful if players had an idea of what they want in advance and/or bring character art they can use for their character to the session, but it's not neccessary, just preferred. of course, if you already have a character made that you'd like to use for this campaign, that's more than okay, and I'll work with you to port them into Foundrty VTT. The Pathfinder 2e system for Foundry VTT is very well made and auto-fills all of the most important info as you select your character's ancestry, class, and background. This takes out a lot of the busywork of manually inputting stats and features, which makes character creation and porting quite painless. Even so, pre-gens will be provided just in case someone wants to use one.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
