About the adventure

Have you wanted to learn how to play Dungeons&Dragons? Have questions about how to play or what to do/expect? Having a difficult time finding a group to play with? If you answered 'yes" to these then let me help you out. This game is designed to a fun and entertaining experience, to teach you how to play the game and are geared towards new players and those that may have been out of the hobby for awhile. And what better way to end a long day, than to jump in and complete a quest, slay a monster, and embrace destiny.

How to prepare

Prior to the session, you will need to set up a Discord account and have a working mic, which will be used for voice chat during the session (video will be available, but is optional). Also a free account on DNDBeyond and Roll20.net will be needed. Please install the Beyond20 extension in Chrome in order to synchronize DNDBeyond and Roll20. There is no need to create characters prior to the session unless you feel so inclined. If you have a particular character image that you would like to use, feel free to send it to me in the discord chat channel and I will make you a custom token.

What I provide

I will be giving access to my complete DND Beyond and Roll20 libraries, as well as providing custom maps with lighting effects. Ambient and themed music, custom tokens and access to my discord channel will be provided.

Gameplay details

Session 0 (approximately 20 minutes) will cover character creation, party roles and bonds, character backgrounds and ties into the story, then lead straight into game play. I have enabled X, N, and O cards as a macro on Roll20, as well as having linked the Lines and Veils document in the adventure notes on the Discord channel. Also, at anytime during play, I actively encourage my players to pause the game, by asking questions or notifying me of an issue at the time, so as to keep from crossing lines, or making someone upset or uncomfortable. After the session, I encourage my players to give me a list of three things they enjoyed, three things that they did not enjoy, and then to share with me something they would like to see in a future session.

How will character creation work

Character creation will depend on the session, varying between 1st and 10th level. There will be a permanent link to my DND Beyond and the Roll20 campaign listed with the adventure session, to allow you to sign in and create a character when they book the session. There will also be a selection of pre-gen characters available for selection if you would prefer to use them. For ease of learning the game, I tend not to use any house rules for these sessions. Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
