About the adventure

Something lurks downstairs at the Otari Fishery. It's eating the salted fish stores in the basement, and fast. It won't be long before the fish runs out ... and the fishers might be next. What prowls the darkness? Do you have the courage to face the menace under Otari? And when you do ... what adventures await you next? ----- "Menace Under Otari" is Pathfinder 2e's introductory module, designed to teach new players how the game works. Whether you're an coming from D&D, or brand new to the hobby, this short adventure is a great place to start your PF2e journey. After that, we'll continue with "Troubles in Otari," the sequel that will bring your characters to 4th level and complete your introduction to the world of Pathfinder! You can expect to experience: • A weekly game with a patient, reliable, and flexible GM (I'm new to PF2e as well, so we'll be learning things together!) • Tactical, interesting combat • Roleplay opportunities with interesting NPCs • A relaxed, fun atmosphere that feels like a home game Join in for some easygoing Pathfinder adventuring!

Additional Details

How to prepare

You'll need stable Internet, a reasonably decent-quality mic or headset (voice required, video optional but highly encouraged), and a Discord account. That's it! You'll see a couple items in the notes once you sign up for the adventure to get you going, and all the details are in a dedicated Discord channel for you. If you're new or newer to the game, no worries! I can walk you through every step of the way. I've taught many people to play TTRPGs over the years, and I'm always excited for new players. I gotchu! :)

What I provide

I'll bring a Foundry VTT world ready to go, a friendly Discord server, a decade of teaching experience (and lots of patience!), and a dedication to making sure we all have fun!

Gameplay details

We'll be using & respecting safety tools. The whole point of this is to have fun together! I'm pretty flexible in how we get to that fun, so we'll use a consent checklist/content guidelines form to help guide me in what the table is comfortable and not comfortable with so I can adapt accordingly. As a general rule, you can step away at any time for any reason (if nothing else: I have toddlers. I get it.). I use a Safety Tools module in Foundry, and you can privately message me at any time. After I bring the game to a formal close each session, we can decompress and talk about the game and the experience. You are more important than the game.

How will character creation work

We'll be starting with pre-generated characters that come with the adventure. Session 0 will involve choosing characters and a short onboarding to give you a chill chance to ask questions, get your character sorted, chat about safety tools, and get to know a little of the Foundry VTT interface. Then we'll be all set to jump straight into the adventure!
