Learn to Play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (For new players & beginners)

About the adventure

This is for new and beginner players. I will guide you through making and playing your character. Ready to give Dungeons & Dragons a try? I will give you an intro to Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition here. The mechanics of combat and using your characters skills to succeed in role playing scenarios are simple and once you know what you are doing all thats left is to have fun! We will play through some classic scenarios and play through a small campaign while learning how to use your character's stats in game.

How to prepare

You will need access to a Roll20 account (free one is fine) via PC. You will also need a discord account (free one is fine as well) with which you will need a headset with microphone. I only use voice for communication in my sessions, no video. Have an idea of the type of character you may like to play and maybe find or make a picture (digital so we all can see it) but this is not neccessary.

What I provide

I will bring maps and just about anything needed via Roll20. I will give you digital handouts via roll20 or through discord.

Gameplay details

Session Zero we will finish up your character and make them ready to play mechanically and to roleplay with others. My content is traditional medival horror and fantasy realm if something make you uncomfortable please let me know I will see if something can be changed.

How will character creation work

I will guide you through making a character for D&D 5e. I will explain the playable races of the realms. The abilities of each class and making a character background. The characters will be beginners, so starting at the beginning of level 1, no experience. Before we start the campaign we will run a few small practice combat encounters then move on to a bit of practice roleplaying using your characters skills and luck of the dice. Then we will be ready to start the campaign and I will explain how cooperatively that all works.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
