Learn to play dnd 5e in the forgotten realms!

About the adventure

These dnd games are designed to teach newer players how to play the game and to get used to roleplaying in general. However more experienced players are also welcome. These games will take place in the forgotten realms, with my own homebrew content injected into the setting as well. The idea of these games is high fantasy and to be kept a little bit more on the light hearted side. However if players are interested in rolling into a campaign later we can always discuss the details of how that should go.

How to prepare

Players will need a working microphone. voice is required for these games. You will also need a roll20 account. You will also need to send me a copy of your character sheet or post it in my discord channel so that i can see it and easiy reference if needed. I will also hold onto it for you so when you come back you will always have a character ready to go for my table.

What I provide

i have dnd beyond with a lot of content that i can share for character creation if it is needed. I have a ton of customs maps and can also help players make custom tokens for the game.

Gameplay details

The way i like to GM is fun is number one. story second and rules third. However since this is a learn to play session as we are going through the game i will definitely be explaining the rules as we go so that way you are set up for success any time you play DND after this. This is a high fantasy setting, a lot of things happen in a typical fantasy adventure game. Conflict is a main theme of the stories being told, that being said blood, violence and warfare against the forces of evil are very common and prominent themes. Cursing and alcohol use may be in games but they are definitely not a focus. Think of a pg13 movie and you should be set for what to expect. I will also address any comments questions and concerns both before and after game to make sure everyone is comfortable and is having a good time.

How will character creation work

you can either make your own using standard array or 27 point buy. we will start at level 1 because the primary focus is to teach people how to play the game. I can also provide pregen characters if i am notified well ahead of game time. If time permits i am also happy to meet with a player 30 min to an hour before game to help create a character.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
