Learn to Play D&D 5e! Easy Start Adventure for Newcomers or Friends (Level 1 Start!)

About the adventure

This is a great jumping off point if you want to either learn D&D 5e or hope for a relaxing atmosphere to start a whole new adventure! The setting will be generic fantasy and I'll be building the campaign based on the needs of the players. I can tie the world to preexisting lore, or make something fresh so there's no pressure to read up for hours on D&D history. I want to cater to you and your needs, so please let me know what you're looking for and I'll do everything I can to make it work! (Safe space for any and all players! If there are any players with needs of any kind please reach out and talk to me, I'd love to make the game the best it can be for everyone!)

How to prepare

We will decide together as a group which service we wish to use for voice, but I prefer discord as its easy to use. Camera is optional but not required at all. Not everyone wants to show their face and that's perfectly okay! We'll use Foundry VTT for the virtual tabletop unless otherwise decided during session 0. I prepare my campaigns with the expectation that my players know nothing. If you are knowledgeable of the rules, or even if you just have a general idea, that's great! Just know I will always make time to make sure my players who are less experienced are comfortable and will teach as we play in a digestible and fun manner. As for dice and character sheets you can use physical or I can show you all sorts of online tools. I'm not picky about either but that's something else we can decide during session 0!

What I provide

I personally bring a love of sharing memorable gaming experiences to players willing to fall in love with D&D like I have. I will prepare whatever I need to in order to assure optimal value as a Dungeon Master. Please always feel comfortable sharing with me your needs.

Gameplay details

Do to the variable nature of each and every person, I use whichever method my players are most comfortable with. I always have a Session 0 (Session before we actually begin playing where we talk about our characters, the world, what everyone is and isn't okay with, and pretty much every detail we may want to discuss before getting into the game itself.) I'm open to many different methods and have used them in the past. I can not stress this enough but the game is for you! The way I run it is based purely on your needs. And if you're unsure of those needs I will take all the time we need to make sure you're comfortable moving forward and aware we can always stop at any point if something unexpected comes up.

How will character creation work

This campaign is focused toward new players, but players looking for a fresh campaign are also invited as long as they understand there will be learners in the group. Characters will begin at Level 1 (Unless everyone in the group agrees otherwise) and we'll be working on our characters during session 0 so that new players will openly have my help figuring out the many rules of D&D 5E. If there are players who want to make characters sooner that's great! But we will still give it as much time as needed during session 0 for those who don't.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
