About the adventure

"Lot's of players. Never enough Dungeon Masters...." So you and your friends want to play DND, but you need a dungeon master. You've looked around but can't find a good one, so you've decided to take up the call. Good for you! The world needs more DMs, and you've come to the right place. I've been DMing 5E for 5 years now, running a number of different campaigns here on StartPlaying. I'd like to transfer my knowledge of DMing on to future dungeon masters. In this session, I'll go over the basics of being a dungeon master and how to use your new best friend, DND Beyond. If you decide to continue down the rabbit whole then I'll provide you with link for further sessions, which will cost $20 a session for training costs (it's not cheap to be a DM, you should be aware of that before getting too deep). You will need two things to participate in this session: a DND Beyond account and Discord access. A decent internet connection and a headset to cut down on noise feedback will also help (camera's are optional, though if you like to be dramatic as DM, you may want one.) This is the first session. If you take this session and wish to continue, you'll be put on a list with others to continue on with the training. Further training will put you with a cohort of other DM's. In the cohort, you'll each be given a chance to be the dungeon master while the other members run your dungeon. I'll be advising you and will stop gameplay as necessary to explain DM tips and tricks and other components of DMing. Please note, if you decide to continue the program after the initial session, you will need to commit as you will be part of a learning cohort.
