About the adventure

Welcome to Sparr. A frozen world with a violent past. The people here a proud part of the Union; their bloody history of clan violence is only a footnote in sagas of glory and prosperity. Sparr's Technoshamans, magicians of circuitry and engineering, are unparalleled in their technical skills. But Sparr has a secret. A shattered god, long frozen in the ice, begins to awaken. An ancient injury demands retribution. WHAT WILL YOU DO, LANCERS? LANCER features a mix of gritty, mud-and-lasers military science fiction and mythic science fantasy. In the setting, conscript pilots mix ranks with flying aces, mercenary guns-for-hire brawl with secretive corporate agents, and relativistic paladins cross thermal lances with causality-breaking, unknowable beings. The game is designed to be rules light and narratively driven outside of your mechs and combat gets more strategic once you are in the pilots seat. Lovers of indepth strategy and crunchy progression mechanics will find plenty to love here. Lovers of roleplaying should find plenty of opportunities to lose themselves as one of the teeming multitudes of humanity in the far-flung future.

How to prepare

Players will need a mic w/ "push to talk" options set-up and the Discord app for communication (webcam optional). The game will be run on the Foundry VTT which features a web-browser based player interface so no app will be needed. Characters can either be created in Foundry during the game or on the web-tool COMP/CON (https://compcon.app/#/) and then imported.

What I provide

I will provide intricate battle maps and an immersive soundscape with ambience, dramatic music, and sound effects to bring you fully into the world of LANCER. I will also provide custom pixelart tokens for use in combat.

Gameplay details

The first session will be Session 0 and will be free. X, N, & O's will be digitally integrated into Foundry VTT.

How will character creation work

Characters will start as rookie Lancers with License Level (LL) 0. Characters will be made as part of the first session using the robust web resource for LANCER called COMP/CON at https://compcon.app/#/

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
