About the adventure

Welcome to Vahden, a homebrew world that I have been working on for nearly 5 years. this is the western continent. The home of the Humans in Vahlenfar, Dwarves and other small races in Dusros, Orc and monstrous races in the Savage north, and the home of many mysterious monsters. like Giants and odd shadow beasts Do you enjoy mystery, danger, and twists and turns? Join me and lets create an amazing One Shot together. In the Kep Island One shot the party will start on a ship heading to the Mysterious Island of Earl Kep seeing many wonderous sites. You are a part of an Elite Group that was Handpicked by the Earls and Kings of Oavhall to investigate the Horror stories that have come from Kep Island over the past year. Fight beasts and horrors of Darkness in your attempt to rescue this town from whatever darkness has befallen it. You can expect: - Custom and unique content, - Extensive roleplaying and voice acting from NPC's with sincere depth and backstories. - Challenging battles and unique monsters - Character driven immersion and story telling - A DM who continues to Learn a lot from DMs like Matt Mercer, Brennan Lee Mulligan and Mathew Colville - If you are looking for a DM that will work with you and help your character feel real and alive Join me

How to prepare

- Make a free roll20 account (link for game will be sent prior to session) - Make a free Discord account ( link for server will be sent prior to session, game info will be posted there) - Make a free Dndbeyond and create your character the or roll 20 I have recourses on both (link will be provided to finalize creation with shared content.) Lvl10 -find a picture online so I can create character tokens. or if you know how to you can make one for roll 20 -Microphone required (always a good idea to test the connection through the settings in discord prior to the game,) - A solid internet connection (will make your gaming experience more enjoyable) - A webcam is a bonus but not a requirement. ( sometimes its hard to read the room as a GM if we cant see facial expression cues, but some people don't like to be on camera and that's totally fine.)

What I provide

-I own the module on my Pro Roll20 account, it comes with beautifully illustrated color maps, tokens, dynamic lighting, and more! - Tokens galore for varied character and monster art. - I personally create most of my maps using Dungeon Alchemist. but I do use some premade maps on roll20 and Google Search -Spotify music through discord

Gameplay details

(Some content in this campaign may be uncomfortable for some players, but are highly negotiable. The most important thing for me at my table is that the players have fun and get to cooperatively build a story together that they will remember fondly. Still I feel its good to list some content aspects upfront so a session 0 will when we discuss lines and veils etc.) I typically voice NPC's and love to roleplay, no matter what I will be doing my best at that because its what I enjoy. I prefer if you do too, However it is not mandatory. During session 0 we will go over all of this and things my Npcs should stay clear of. sometimes things happen. if something is done by me or a player. we will talk about it to make sure it doesnt happen. we are all adults and communication is important My expectations for players is to treat everyone including myself with the same respect they are given and to maintain general decorum and immersion at the virtual "table". Communication is the key to success, but it is also a necessity it group play to make sure that everyone has fun. I ask for full transparency in session zero of any lines or veils, possible triggers etc. At the end of the day I care more about you having fun than about me trying to make my homebrew setting gritty/ realistic/ dark etc.

How will character creation work

start at level 10 A session 0 will provide time for choosing classes, races etc. I use Roll20 for the maps. I find discord works best for audio. I also own every book on dnd beyond so that is where character creation is done. i do also own quite a bit of books on roll 20 if you find that to be easier. a simple beyond20 extension shows your rolls in roll 20 so everything is right there in front of you all wotc material is accepted as well as homebrew races and classes. must need approval before. -For stats use a different version of standard array. 17 16 15 12 10 8. -Gain a first level feat (must make sense for race or your backstory to help round the character out. not just for power.) -Gain 2 uncommon items or 1 rare item for your character. (must make sense for race or your backstory to help round the character out. not just for power. so it can be a family heirloom or something you found. but have it fit your character as these will grow in power with you as your character makes decisions.) I do have premade Character if people need.
