    About the adventure

Seattle a city divided by water, a city that pushes for equality and progressive measures hides a rather darker element. At night the city is still alive, people still live their lives. However, the roads and ferries or life blood of the city is choked up with black sludge. The people live their lives, but do not notice the disappearances or deaths that happen every night. It is easier to live in a world where nothing is wrong then to realize that you are not the top of the food chain, you are not safe, and instead being hunted and stalked by something that is so similar to you that you would mistake it for human, but instead it is your predator. However, this predator has decided to make you one of them and now you need to learn the new world and yourself. The new world you were forced into is divided between different groups and ideologies, do you wish to live with your freedom and humanity conflicting against one another, the political machinations of a feudal society, or do you engage in your vampiric nature, after all it is so easy to. This game is focused on players and their decisions. Everything in the world is able to be interacted with and more importantly effect the story whenever they are touched by the players. Even if a plotline is not being investigated or dealt with they will still be moving along in the background. If you are looking for a game where you set the pace of the adventure and night this is the game for you.

    Additional Details

    How to prepare

A player will need a mic at least, webcam is not required, discord downloaded, their own dice if they wish or to use my dice roller on discord. A player does not have to have a thorough understanding of the rules, but needs to have a bit of imagination and willing to learn the rules as we play. A player does need to have a character sheet for themselves, but doesn't need to resubmit one when leveling up.

    What I provide

I will bring the rule book, pre-generated characters to choose from, a discord to interact in, and a plot to hunt down.

    Gameplay details

The mechanics of this style game is relatively simple. When testing to see if you succeed you simply play rock-paper-scissors whether with me, the story teller, or your fellow players if they are the target. If their is a tie then you compare traits on whether or not a success is achieved, by who ever is higher. If those are tied then it goes to who ever has the higher attribute, and then if those are tied the defender wins. A usual session will be devoted to solving problems that effect the city, whether through masquerade breaches or personal issues related to being vampire. The players' choices will effect the world whether for the better or worse. Safety Tools: I use two major safety tools, X card and lines and veils, with weekly check ins. The X card can be used at any point if a participant is uncomfortable with the content happening in-game. When the X card is used by tapping the card or typing an “X” in the chat, the group can change, rewind, or skip the content. Lines: are subjects that are never brought up or into the game, any player may add to the list. The current lines are: Sexual Assault of any kind. Veils: are subjects that are alluded to but never directly brought up or into the game, any player may add to this list as well. The current veils are: domestic abuse. Weekly Check Ins: is where I ask the group before each game if there is any Lines or Veils that the players would like to add to the list whether on a permanent basis or temporarily considering life happens and we are not fully active in each other's life.

      How will character creation work

The system does not have a level system in the normal sense, but characters will be considered beginners. If players wish to pre-make characters it would be appreciated, but needs to be confirmed by me. There will be pre-generated characters available, but I will assist in character creation if desired and there is time before the game.

      Players can expect

      • Combat/Tactics: Low
      • Roleplay: High
      • Puzzles: Medium
