Intro to Trinity Continuum: Aeon
Trinity Continuum on Zoom
About the adventure
An introduction to the Trinity Continuum: Aeon setting. Multiple scenarios, usually created to fit a group of new characters and get immersed in the setting and familiar with the rules. Aeon is a wild and diverse game with plenty of options including Psions (technologically created psi users), Psiads (less powerful, more versitile naturally occuring psi users), Talents (exceptionally lucky and skilled humans), Superiors (low powered Quantum users) and even aliens!
How to prepare
Players should have a webcam and mic, although just a mic would suffice. Players should at minimum read the Quickstart rules (Provided by GM on request). Game will take place over Zoom, and players should have their own dice or digital rice roller.
What I provide
Storyguide will provide pregenerated characters on request and quick start rulebooks.
The game uses the Storypath System. Players roll pools of D10s, with 8 or above scoring successes, and then use those successes to buy specific effects based on their abilities, equipment and powers. Roleplay is front and center, but out of play chat and planning is allowed. Action is fast paced and cinematic with a good mix of tactics and creative problem solving. No battle mat or hexes. Puzzling is present but not prevalent. I assume your characters and competent and capable, so you will more often than not be able to use your skills to solve a puzzle even if it's not the "right" answer. Players can be of any experience. Games with new players will start with an introduction to the rules as well as a lot of learn-by-playing instruction
Safety tools used
- Lines and Veils
- X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work
Pre-generated characters will be available in addition to players making their own. Characters should be made at base level from the Trinity Continuum rulebook. Any players wanting assistance with character creation can reach out to the Story Guide.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Medium
- Roleplay: High
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: Open to all
