Intro to the Undersea

About the adventure

This adventure will be set in my personal homebrew world, which is loosely based on the world of the video game Sunless Sea. The story will be mostly character-driven within an open-world sort of plot, and it will feature heavy steampunk and mystery elements, with some mild horror. Expect an exciting story exploring a massive underground ocean upon a ship, battling monsters and pirates alike, hunting for treasure, and solving the intense mysteries surrounding the dreaded Undersea.

How to prepare

Mic and at least semi-stable internet are required. A webcam is ideal, but by no means required.

What I provide

I'll be using my own dice, and digital copies of the core rulebooks (including some homebrew rules that I've decided to implement).

Gameplay details

We'll be implementing a loose form of the Script Change format. So, if players (or GM) feel particularly uncomfortable with a situation, they can say they'd like to rewind, pause, or fast forward as applicable. The game features mystery/thriller/horror elements, suitable for a PG-13 rating if it were a movie.

How will character creation work

Players and I will communicate out of game before the session to build a character that they want to play and that fits into the world.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
