Intro to D&D: Frozen Sick

About the adventure

We’ll be playing through the adventure setting, Frozen Sick, which takes characters from Level 1 to Level 3. The adventure is set in the cold, harsh environment of the Biting North where Palebank Village is nestled. Characters find themselves searching for a cure to a disease which has rapidly begun spreading and killing the townsfolk. Players will be set against the clock as Palebank Village is desperate for these new found adventurers, brave enough to face the Greying Wildlands, to be their saviours.

How to prepare

Players will be required to have a working microphone, ability to read, write and speak English, and have an open mindset and willingness to learn. No experience is required. Video is optional.

What I provide

The DM will provide the sourcebooks on D&D Beyond, a Foundry license, and an open mindset, years of creative experience, writing and patience towards those new to D&D.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a slightly slower module and pace, as new players are encouraged and welcome to join and ask questions during sessions. RAW and Rule of Cool will be used.

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen during Session 0 using the D&D Beyond character creation tool. Players are also welcomed and encouraged to use physical character sheets and physical dice to roll. Character ideas and questions can be asked before hand. Character templates can be created before Session 0 using D&D Beyond. During Session 0, players will be guided by the DM through each step of the character creation process. Characters will also begin at Level 1. All sources are able to be utilized and players are not limited to any one race, class, spell, etc. The DM encourages players to ask questions, try new builds, roll physical dice, and to customize characters.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
