About the adventure
This is an introductory adventure into Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. The Lost Mine of Phandelver is a 5E adventure set in the Forgotten Realms. It takes place in the vicinity of Neverwinter (The same City as in the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie) in a small town called Phandalin. If you are a new player, a player returning from hiatus, or an experienced player, this adventure has all that you could ask for and more. Any characters created for games I run can be used in other games that I DM for as well. Start with a simple adventure to get to know the rules, and then progress into a full blown campaign. Long term commitment not required.

How to prepare
You will likely need a webcam and mic to effectivly use zoom, although you are welcome to point the webcam at the ceiling if you wish. If you don't already have them, we will be using zoom, d&d beyond, and Roll20. Please create free accounts for these if you do not have them.
What I provide
I will be providing all of the game creation and Improve, as well as setting up maps and dialogue options for NPCs. Just because this is a premade adventure doesn't mean I wont bring my "A Game" to it. I want everyone to have a good time and enjoy a great game.
Gameplay details
I will be sending a consent checklist to all players. If nothing triggers your group because "Its just a game" that's fine. The checklist is for those wishing to play but need to know that my games are a safe space. Anything that is a hard line will not be crossed and I will modify the adventure accordingly. If it comes to be that players in a group aren't compatible, I will divide the group into players who are more compatible. If anyone feels uncomfortable because of another player, please message me immediately so we can discuss how to best proceed. We will have a Session 0. This is in advance of our 1st play session and will be a simple zoom call. We will discuss what Safety Tools we need to use as well as to find out how our shared story should progress. Also if you need help understanding character creation, what your role is in the party, or even just advice on a character you would like to play, this is the time to do it.

How will character creation work
Characters will be created at level 1. If you would like to create your character in advance, you may. Please ask for the D&D Beyond link for the Campaign. All characters should be created using standard array. You will have until 2 hours before the 1st game session to change your character. Players are limited to races, classes, and subclasses from the players handbook
