Intro to D&D 5E: Create a Character for Dungeons and Dragons (New Player)

About the adventure

Are you looking to play Dungeons and Dragons but not sure where to start? In this 1 hour session we will created a new character for D&D 5E using Fantasy Grounds. Do you want to fight with a sword? Cast fantastical spells? Heal your allies or charm your way by song? We will talk about that and tailor your character around you. Once your character is made we will go through the basics of how to play D&D as well as how to use fantasy grounds. Skilled players who have made characters with me are welcome to join this session to create new characters or level up their characters. This character creation session is tied into my D&D games, after you are done creating a character you can join one of my Twilight Hunters Guild sessions to hunt monsters and capture foes for a bit of coin. The Twilight Hunters game is a series of one shot D&D scenarios for 1st through 5th level characters and is open to new players that have no experience with Dungeons and Dragons 5E. The game session could vary every single time you play so you can play again and even continue to build your character up with treasure and renown with the Twilight Hunters.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will need a microphone and good internet connection to connect to fantasy grounds. Webcams are strongly encouraged because I feel that player expressions are important to facilitate game play. If you absolutely do not feel comfortable using a webcam you will not be required too. Characters sheets and dice will be provided in fantasy grounds.

What I provide

I will bring the rule system, character sheets, dice, maps and illustrations within fantasy grounds.

Gameplay details

This is a 1st - 5th level character creation session for 5E Dungeons and Dragons. Players will create 1st - 5th level characters in preparation for future gameplay. Part of the session may include introductory game play. There may be tactical gameplay, puzzles and role playing is encouraged. Pregenerated characters are available. Regarding safety, if you feel uncomfortable with something please let me know privately and I will address the issue immediately.

How will character creation work

This is a character creation session for 1st - 5th level 5E Dungeons and Dragons game. I am flexible with using most of the D&D books but characters will be reviewed for approval. We will be reasonable and fair with your character creation. Pregenerated characters are available as well. Characters will be inputed into Fantasy Grounds.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
