About the adventure

Fame, fortune, or ruin? Each lies in equal measure within the walls of Tuaz, a desert metropolis of unparalleled wealth and culture - but with a dark secret lurking in its depths. Come get introducedThis is an open-world sandbox game with a "main questline" and dozens of smaller side quests, designed to be played as YOU see fit. There are mysteries to solve, troves of ancient knowledge to be discovered, and disputes to settle - by force, politics, subterfuge, or sheer dumb luck. You can play an everyman, meeting everyone there is to meet and covering every square inch of the city, or you can find your niche - be it the Collegiate Arcanum, the Redmeat Rovers, or Amma Noor's Trading Company. Along the way, you might discover inklings of a larger conspiracy afoot - what role will you play in its unfolding? This is designed to be run over multiple sessions, but you can jump in and out at your leisure.

Gameplay details

This is a 5th-edition sandbox campaign designed to take characters from 3rd to 9th level. It's almost entirely homebrewed, including the setting, and takes place inside a massive desert city full of competing factions, strange characters, and mysterious secrets. There are plenty of opportunities to find plot hooks to take you on adventures, which range from combat-light to total bloodbaths, but you can also strike out independently and leave a mark on Tuaz in your own terms. You'll benefit from an open mind, a strong character, and a willingness to explore!
