Intro to D&D 5e- Gerryon's Tower

About the adventure

This basic adventure is an introduction to D&D 5e for someone with no experience in the hobby. This adventure contains a taste of each of the three pillars of the game, with a journey into an abandoned Mage's tower as the backdrop of the game. This game package includes a session zero, which is a brief pre-game session where I will walk all players through character creation as well as the basic rules of the game. This ensures that everyone is on an even playing field when the game begins, but I will never admonish a player for asking questions. I am patient to a fault with new players and want to see this hobby grow more than anything.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players need access to a microphone as the very least with a webcam being even better. Using theater of the mind as well as online dice rolling software will allow players to interact with the world without need to bring or prepare anything in advance of the first session. Players also have the option of using Roll20 to track stats and visualize encounters, which I will happily teach newcomers to use.

What I provide

I will supply players with character art, maps, and all other essential information for online D&D sessions. There will be a Roll20 set up for this game, but this can be run without Roll20 being accessed if you prefer a less technical approach to the game.

Gameplay details

This module generally contains references to violence and is thus PG-13. however these can be removed and the game can be run at a level that is acceptable to all ages upon request. I maintain an open door policy with all of my games, and all players are able to walk out of any session and return for any reason without retaliation or judgement. If any players have any particular triggers they would like taken into account, there will be a discussion before the first session to get those triggers taken care of. If any of the above topics do not interest you as a player, talk with me about it and I will accommodate to the best of my ability.

How will character creation work

Players will have a choice between a pre-generated character and a step-by-step walk through of character creation at the start of the first session.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
