Into the Wastes: A Blasted Lands Adventure!

About the adventure

Hello there! This is a DnD 5e game in The Blasted Lands, a setting of my own design, where the City of Bastion leaves a 300-year Temporal Bubble to find itself the greatest remaining city in a world ruined by elemental apocalypse, which leaves the landscape a chaotic and ever shifting roil of power and madness. The first session (of what I plan to make a whole campaign) will see you, adventurers working with the Bastion Explorers Guild, travel south to find the legendary Onyx Spire, a pure-black tower that hopefully still holds the golem factories of the mad wizard Ilrath the Grim. This will be a Lvl 1 session for 3-6 players. Any officially published materials may be used for character creation. The tone will be dark, yet hopeful; the world suffered greatly under The Remaking, but Bastion's reemergence is ample opportunity for the world to recover. The theme is the conflict between the old world, and the new; Bastion is the last pre-apocalypse city, and will no doubt butt heads with some of the ideologies and factions of the Blasted Lands The actual gameplay itself will be pretty standard 5e fare, combat and NPC interaction being mixed in with puzzles and other interesting set pieces. We will be using a battle map, with standard rules of combat, and 1 square equaling 5 feet, as is traditional.
