Into The Borderlands: Your First D&D Campaign

About the adventure

An Introduction to 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons (5E) for new players. This will be a short (5-6 session) campaign to introduce players to the latest edition of Dungeons & Dragons. I will provide pregenerated characters and introduce the rules as we play. The adventure modules 'In Search Of The Unknown' and 'Keep On The Borderlands' are classic introductory adventures for Dungeons and Dragons which have recently been updated for the fifth edition rules. I will create a short campaign based on the material in these adventures. We will talk before the game and I will tailor the experience to suit the group. We'll use Discord for voice and video, please make sure you have a working microphone, a webcam greatly enhances the experience for players and DM alike! I will provide a link to the map and dice roller on Owlbear.Rodeo before the game starts.

How to prepare

Please ensure you have a working microphone and are able to use Discord voice chat. A webcam is preferred as it greatly enhances the experience.

What I provide

I'll ensure everything is place for our game, we'll be using an online dice roller and I'll provide character sheets in advance.

Gameplay details

This will be a short campaign in a classic a fantasy setting. It will be aimed at beginners and will include a balance of typical D&D gameplay including exploration, combat and puzzle/problem solving. My player's safety and comfort is my highest priority. I always discuss game tone and content prior to starting a session with new players and use a simple 'X card' safety system in both online and face to face games.

How will character creation work

I will provide pregenerated characters for the first session, however if any player has a particular preference I will try to accomodate everyone.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
