    About the adventure

In this One-Shot, the Players form an Adventuring Party that is tasked with entering a portal into the Fiendish Planes in order to save the heir to the throne. You start in the midst of a summer festival where you may interact with townsfolk, play games, and stock up on supplies. As the portal bursts open, the game transitions into hellish combat and lots of teamwork to find and retrieve the heir before it's too late. This game is for Level One characters and is specifically designed for any players new to Dungeons and Dragons, with time at the beginning to look at character sheets and step by step breakdowns of the game's foundations. Feel free to reach out to me for character advice!

    How to prepare

Please come with a webcam and mic. A DND Beyond account is recommended, and depending on the group we may use Roll 20 for combat (if not we'll use my whiteboard maps!)

    What I provide

I have the core Dungeons and Dragons 5e books to aid in teaching foundational rules, and will make sure players leave with a fully completed character sheet and the skills needed to play in a long term campaign.

    Gameplay details

Role play will be primarily in the beginning, though there is opportunity for it throughout. I always encourage talking and making decisions as your character, and if that means making mistakes it can make things more interesting! There will be a moderate amount of combat, focused on teaching players how rounds and turns work and what their abilities are. The puzzles lean towards creative problem solving as opposed to riddles. This is structured for people with little to no experience with plenty of explanation.

    How will character creation work

Characters are level one. Any players that feel comfortable can use DnD Beyond to create characters in advance, but there will be time to create and review everything before we officially begin.

    Players can expect

    • Roleplay: Medium
