About the adventure

You take the role of an ICON, a larger-than-life hero, caught between the turning of two ages. Long ago, the cruel and prosperous Arken empire ruled the land until it fell to the Doom. Over time, the land healed, and the idyllic, pastoral Green Age came to pass. Now, however, that peace is threatened by the coming of the Churning Age. With dungeons literally erupting from the earth and monsters pouring out in great blights, Kin increasingly turn their hearts to plundering their depths for riches and power, and their hands to their sword hilts. Will you have the strength to resist this age, or will you claim its terrible power for yourself? In this tale, you are part of a brave fleet of adventurers looking to discover what lies across the great oceans of Arden Eld. You approach the New World, an uncharted continent that has succumbed to the same fate as your home. With ruins surfacing in this unexplored part of the world, it becomes a race against those who would utilize the power found here to crush those around them. Discover the New World, take on dangerous monsters, explore vast ruins, establish settlements, face off against the Imperials, and much more in this Play-by-Post adventure using the ICON system. This game is Asynchronous and utilizes Discord for the majority of play, but also utilizes Owlbear Rodeo for Tactical Combat.

What I provide

I will be supplying the Discord Server, equipped with a dice-rolling bot and various RP-related bots. I have supplied the link to the game's sourcebook and sheets. I have additional resources if players feel they will require them.

Gameplay details

Session Zero is handled more as a group discussion that will go on until we are ready to begin the game. We will talk about character creation as a group, where your character fits in the world, how the game works on a basic level, and what to expect from this game. Most of the game will be handled via Discord within a server that has multiple chats set up to keep the game smooth. Owlbear Rodeo will be used for Tactical Combat thanks to its ability to keep a game board persistent 24/7.

How will character creation work

Characters will begin at Level 0 in order to help players ease into the system. There is no expectation for the player to have anything created beforehand as it'll be tackled during the group discussion.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
