How to prepare

Players will need to be familiar with the rules either through the DnD 5e Player's Handbook or the free basic rules via DnD Beyond. Players should download the Syrinscape Online Player to their laptops for a full immersive experience. The Syrinscape Online Player is how I can play music to all of you simultaneously during the session - it's totally free for you! If you are rolling digital dice I highly recommend installing Beyond20 which links any VTT to your DnDBeyond character sheet. Prior to the session I will send out a link to a Google Drive document with instructions and helpful tips on how to access all of the above mentioned software/websites.

Gameplay details

Icewind Dale: Rhyme of the Frostmaiden has been described as a modern, icy, dungeon crawler. Reviews discuss it as being well balanced, exciting, and full of interesting combat. The Polygon review by Charlie Hall really sold me on the adventure: "Once players hit level three, the pace begins to pick up considerably. Rime of the Frostmaiden includes encounters with dragons, doppelgängers, illithids, and more. There’s even a sentient sperm whale thrown in for good measure. Perhaps more so than any other 5th edition module to date, encounters include much more than just combat. Players will have to be quick-witted and clever about using their skills in unusual ways to come out on top. There’s even a few minigame-like competitions thrown in for good measure. It’s a fantastic assortment of experiences, perfect for inspiring good role-playing at the table." I would define my personal GM style as being story driven, I want to create fun moments for you and your friends to remember while giving you a full and complete story within a session. I enjoy running a really balanced game with a mixture of mechanics driven combat, heavy RP, and a mixture of puzzles or riddles.

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen before the game takes place via dndbeyond.com. I will create a campaign for the group once the session is booked so that you have access to all of the DnDBeyond content I have purchased - which will expand your character creation options.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
