About the adventure

Set in the world of Crescence, where the Sun is no longer the shining beacon of warmth that it once was; now a husk of its former power. A frigid chill permanently set in across the land, where a night spent without warmth is a morning never to come. A high magic setting with dark secrets and dangers to explore all around provide intrigue and questions, all of which you must work to solve and understand. Tales of heroes of old seeking to restore the Sun to its former glory, and bring back the light of life to the world are now but hushed whispers of foolish men. As a simple hero for hero, moving from town to town taking small quests to fill the ever-draining hole in your pouch of coin, you work whenever you can for whatever you must, leaving those sort of jobs for the "real heroes". When the search for a missing boy in the small mining village of Haliton puts you on the path to uncover a terrifying secret, you will find your strength and resolve tested. Those who seek to live in this world unprepared often don't make it far. But that doesn't sound like much of a problem for you... right?

Additional Details

How to prepare

Working microphone required, preferably with minimal background noise. Webcams not required but can be set up if so desired by players. You can create your characters beforehand, but as stated above this is not required as we will be doing so during the first session. We will use Discord for chat/communication, and Foundry for out VTT, so the only thing you need download is Discord.

Gameplay details

Players can expect combat to be tough, but rewarding to players who put thought and effort into how to approach them. Roleplay is a high-importance factor, and can and will be used to provide players with information, insight, and rewards depending on actions taken.

How will character creation work

Character Creation will follow these guidelines: Players will use an altered standard array of 17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8 Players can customize a full and complete backstory (with DM assistance so as to weave backstory into the world, if wanted) All players will be granted a custom magical item that they will work with the DM to create, which will increase in power along with the characters level Players may create characters prior to start of first session, but the first 30-60 minutes of said session will involve character creation, importation into game systems Happy to help/guide through character creation if a player has questions/concerns or needs help!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
