About the adventure

A 2-Shot adventuring centered on wilderness exploration, overcoming various creatures in a quest to trap the mythical White Stag and save a tribe of local halflings. In order to prevent a failed harvest & their village's decimation, the local council of elders have called for stalwart adventurers to brave the wilderness & stave off disaster.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players will be expected to have a working microphone & internet connection. Access to a webcam is also encouraged, though not mandatory. Players will be provided with a PDF character sheet to fill out, though use of D&D Beyond or similar programs may be used as a substitute at the players discretion (you may be asked to occasionally share your screen with the DM in such instances). Players are expected to supply their own dice or use a digital dice roller.

What I provide

The DM will supply miniatures & terrain as needed. Access to maps & campaign setting notes will be provided via World Anvil. Players will also be provided a link to a fillable PDF character sheet. During Session 0 (as well as during gameplay) the DM will happily provide any supplemental rules needed for generating characters as well as providing any insight required for rules clarifications.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a roleplay driven adventure, dropping them into the untamed wilds of the Destral Forest. Combat will involve a physical battle map with terrain & miniatures. Session 0 (which is free) will consist of character/party building as well of a discussion of the setting, the world of Urigaur. Session 0 will also cover an overview of the safety tools we'll be using & any lines & veils the players would like to implement.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 5. Any of the methods of generating Ability scores listed in the players handbook (rolling 4d6 & dropping the lowest six times, point buy or using the array) are acceptable, though rolling must be done openly. While it is fine to come to Session 0 with a general concept in mind, it is recommended that players build characters as a group during Session 0. This can help to prevent frustration from players creating similar characters & "stepping on one-another's toes". Any published Wizards of the Coast races, classes or subclasses are options for character creation.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
