About the adventure

This isn't some picnic basket, this is the honey score of a lifetime! Honey Heist is a hilarious one-shot developed by Grant Howitt where everyone gets to live out their dream of being a criminal bear. It's the type of game that lets you embrace some randomness and get ridiculous with your friends. Make sure you have your eyes on the prize because you need to make sure you keep your cool and never go FULL CRIMINAL or FULL BEAR. Pick your bear, what your job in the gang is, and you might even get to wear a cool hat! Assemble your favorite criminal friends and see if you can finish the job and live the sweet life. No experience with Honey Heist or TTRPGs necessary! However, if you're a seasoned player, you should still have a good time.

How to prepare

The session will be run in discord using both the Voice/Video and Text channels. You will need a computer, phone, or tablet with access to Discord, and account with Discord, as well as a mic and/or webcam.

Gameplay details

A session of Honey Heist starts with players quickly creating their bears via random rolls. You'll get to choose the type of bear you are, your descriptor, and your role in the gang. Players have two stats, Bear and Criminal, which both start at 3. If you want to be scary, smash stuff, maul someone, that’s the bear stat – and for everything non-bear related, there’s the criminal stat. Players roll a D6 every time they want to do something, and if the number on the die is equal to or less than the relevant stat, you succeed! Additionally, if your roll is successful and the plan goes off without a hitch, you move one point from Bear to Criminal. Likewise, if the plan fails, you move a point from Criminal to Bear because you get frustrated. If you ever get to 6 in either stat, you go full Bear or Criminal, and all hell breaks loose! You will be presented with the location and circumstances surrounding this job. You will be free to plan, make your way there, and deal will the challenges along the way.
