About the adventure

6 hours straight of one-on-one DnD where you play through the entire life of a character. That's the short version. Hero's Journey is a game that I've run many times with players, and it's one of my favorites. In six hours, we will play through 4-5 different moments in your characters journey, from start to finish. Level 1 through 20 all in one evening. Your life will be determined by your choices from early-on, reaching an epic conclusion. The prep for this game is extensive, as I will be in communication with building a world around your character, as well as creating surprising and compelling scenes for you to play in. If you're too busy for a regular game, but have that DnD itch-- set up a session. Let's make a story the bards will sing of. In-Person sessions preferred for the NYC area, virtual available.

How to prepare

You'll need a webcam and mic if virtual, or else your favorite setup for an in-person game. However, I will have all material prepped so we can play even if you have nothing on you. A notebook or document to keep notes is recommended.

What I provide

I will bring everything we need to play DnD, including dice, maps, and more.

Gameplay details

Lines, Veils, and an RPG content-consent form will be part of the prep for this game. I want to know everything you want to explore, as well as steer clear of. The goal is for you to have the best DnD session ever, and I will do all I can to make that happen.

How will character creation work

Character creation is the most important step. First, you must decide a one-word theme for your game. Survival, Honor, and Blood are all examples. Then, I will send you a questionnaire for you to fill out from your character's perspective. Finally, I will send you guidelines for creating your character at different levels ranging from 1-20, representing different moments in their life. Changes to each level are possible during time jumps.

Players can expect

  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Medium
