How to prepare

We'll be using AboveVTT for the tabletop. It is a Chrome browser extension that turns DnD Beyond into a Virtual Tabletop. You'll also need Discord and a Microphone. Voice chat is required during the games.

What I provide

I have all of the official content on DnD Beyond, many 3rd party supplements, and lots of custom tokens. I like to have maps and visual reference for nearly every location, monster, or character. I love tokens and maps. I can set up music or other environmental sounds if the players prefer.

Gameplay details

My game style is casual and humorous with light roleplay. I like to emphasize fun, exploration, and creativity instead of melodrama and interpersonal conflict. I'm looking for people who want to work together, help the townsfolk, outsmart the goblins, and clear our some dungeons. I'm not interested in edgy, evil, or anti-social behaviors. I like the backgrounds and Traits of D&D 5e. We'll use those to help guide our story. I don't think we need to make those backgrounds the main focus of the game, though. They are there to add help us imagaine and tell our story. We'll go over expectations of content and safety during our session 0. There will be no sexual violence, humiliation, hatred, or torture. We're adventurers, not psychopaths. Players will be free to pause the action at anytime if they become uncomfortable. We'll be getting together to have fun and we'll work as a group to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

How will character creation work

We'll be creating new, level 1 characters. I can help you roll up your character during session zero or we can discuss a character you've already created. We'll use anything from the official books, generating stats with the Standard Array method. We'll use DnD Beyond for all character sheets.
