Dungeons & Dragons 5e

Foundry VTT

About the adventure

In this campaign run through Discord Server with Audio / Foundry VTT we will explore a gritty, apocalyptic version of the world of Greyhawk, as what's left of the Flanaess inhabitants are confronted with the aftermath the Great Wars. Will you manage to survive in these harsh lands, striving to reestablish honor and redemption in what once was a flourishing region now overrun by chaos, hunger and disease ? or choose to hide in the darker corners of this lost world ? Will you make a name for yourselves as unlikely heroes... or come to a miserable end, forgotten by all while your remains rot away in some dank dungeon corner... or become something infinitely worse ? No matter what you make of your destiny, it will all play out in the vast expanses of the world of GREYHAWK.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need a decent internet connection and access to Discord (we will send new players an invitation on our campaign server, complete with ooc / ic channels, audio channel, general forum chat, dicebots to roll your character stats, etc). Foundry VTT will be used for dungeon delving, battles, etc. You'll need to create a FREE account on The Forge ( to log in the game sessions. Have a decent functional mic and headset if you can. No special theater / funny voices skills are needed, just willingness to suspend disbelief and eagerness to participate.

What I provide

I will provide links and pdfs to the world of Greyhawk, as well as all help needed to get as immersive an experience as possible (character portraits, atmospheric sounds / music, etc) I also have a series of compendium and character portraits available, as well as decent knowledge on how to operate our VTT of choice (Foundry).

Gameplay details

This game aims to reflect the spirit of early D&D adventure modules, so expect a fair bit of dungeon exploring and local adventures at lower levels, before moving on to a wider area on the world map as the characters earn experience. We will try to go for a solid amount of action and excitement, while remaining true to RP in-character interactions (you don't need to be a voice actor though, just enjoy !) Safety: LINES & VEILS players are welcomed and encouraged to discuss with the DM and warn about difficult IRL themes that can be encountered / should be avoided in-game, either before or after the sessions.

How will character creation work

We will use the 5e system for character creation, so either roll 4d6kh3 / 27 points buy / Standard Array are all acceptable methods for stats. STARTING LEVEL : 8 EQUIPMENT: Standard Equipment & Gold + 1 Uncommon Magic Item or 2 Common Potions (Healing, Climbing, etc) OR Standard Starting Gold + 500 gp worth to purchase any equipment including Common & Uncommon magic items, scrolls or potions etc (all at PHB prices). RACES & CLASSES: it would be in the interest of the campaign to stick to the most basic / simplest PHB choices, since the setting is supposed to reflect old-school D&D. Saying that, I like to remain flexible so feel free to approach me with your character concept and we'll discuss it during Session 0. CURRENT PARTY (3): saying that, we do have a pretty heteroclitous party, with a Rock Gnome Wizard/Rogue, a Tiefling Hexblade Warlock and The Only Dragonborn Artificer in Greyhawk (he's believed to be a magical creation, as dragonborns shouldn't exist in this setting). We lost an Undead half-elven little girl with clerical powers recently, and are seeking a new member to this party !

Players can expect
