About the adventure

The city of Shadaris, a city that sits at the edge of the civilized world, a vanguard against the devils and demons and monsters out in the wastes. Recently in the nights for the pass few months, orphans have gone missing, children that no one wanted or were abandoned. No one paid any mind to this, except when the disappearances started targeting the peasants' children and then moving on the nobility. The mayor of the city has tasked you with and other adventurers on finding these children, rescue them and put a stop to this madness. Should only be a oneshot for level 3-4 characters but has the possibility of becoming a campaign in the future

There might be instances of child endangerment and violence, it can be toned down or discussed before game with a session 0. If scenes like this troubling you or make your or others uncomfortable, feel free to use the X, N, and O Cards system X cards: Type out in text chat the letter "X". The X card can be used at any point if a participant is uncomfortable with the content happening in-game. When the X card is used by tapping the card or typing an “X” in the chat, the group can change, rewind, or skip the content. N Cards: Type out in text chat the letter "N". The N card can be used at any point if a participant feels like they are headed towards an X. When the N card is used by tapping the card or typing an “N” in the chat, the group can change the content or have the scene “fade to black.” O Cards: Type out in text chat the letter "O" or say in voice chat. The O card can be used at any point if a participant wants to continue with the content. When the O card is used by tapping the card or typing an “O” in the chat, the group is ok to continue with the content. They can also regularly be prompted by a “O?” asked out loud or in the chat to check-in if everyone is still ok. This game also has the "Open Door" Policy: The Open Door is the assurance that someone can leave or take a break from the game for their own safety and well-being without being judged. State this at the beginning and periodically throughout the game. Breaks can be requested by the DM and if all the players agree as well. After the game is done, feel free to stay in chat for discussions, aftercare or to just unwind.
