About the adventure

Running along the Sea of Swords from north of Amn to the Sea of Moving Ice, the Sword Coast is a narrow band of territory dominated by the city-states of the area that use the sea for trade. For most who care about such things, the area is delimited by Neverwinter in the north and Baldur’s Gate in the south, but territory farther to the north and south that isn’t under the sway of a more influential power is usually also included in maps of the Sword Coast.

Gameplay details

This campaign presents players many options from an official adventures through D&D Beyond, so gameplay (roleplay level, combat frequency, challenging situations etc.) should be balanced, but can change based on the actions players take and the vibe of the whole group. As a published adventure, it's great for both experienced and new players -- no experience necessary but is helpful. It is important to know that enthusiastic roleplaying is supported and encouraged but not required. For experienced players, character creation on D&D Beyond will be expected to happen before the game begins. Not every encounter need to start or end in combat. Roleplay is fun and I encourage it at the level of your comfort and enjoyment. Backing roleplay with spell and combat and problem solving is highly encouraged as well! Some themes that will be roleplayed include violent encounters, problem solving and expectations of collaboration. Safety protocols will be in place utilizing the TTRPG Safety Toolkit, but if you have anything that might be in a standard D&D game that you wouldn't like to see but is not covered by the TTRPG Safety Toolkit, let me know in advance. Ages 18+.

How will character creation work

For experienced players, character creation on D&D Beyond will be expected to happen before the game begins. For those not familiar with D&D Beyond all you need is a microphone. a camera, a Discord account and a good internet connection because everything else is handled in Session 0. You will not need anything else.
