About the adventure

The vast land of Emberfell is a bustling hub for many small and large cities. Lately however, beasts of all kinds have been more temperamental. Pets attacking their owners, circus animals killing their tamers. Even naturally calm wildlife are reported to be assaulting travelers with no known cause.

Additional Details

How to prepare

- No camera needed, voice chat will be done on discord so a mic is required. An invite to the discord will be set up and sent out prior to session 1. - Character sheets on roll20 will be used for rolls and information, you will need a free account to get started (an invite to the campaign will be sent out after sign up) as well as Discord. - Bring your character picture and background info (I can create your token or you can create it in advance depending on your preference).

What I provide

I will be bringing all of the other pieces to the puzzle. Tokens for baddies, battlemaps, some interesting puzzles, and a fun story to build out with you! I will have common and homebrew rules laid out and pinned in the chat for reference.

Gameplay details

If session is planned for the 4 hour length, a break will be planned at hour 2. X,N,O can be digitally messaged privately or mentioned over discord chat with the group so they can be addressed. Gameplay wise, there will be a variance of both normal, everyday encounter level as well as dangerous and deadly encounters planned. Optimizing is allowed and welcomed as long as it does not impede the character and role playing capability (ie. make sure you can still roleplay and mesh the character with the group, not solely focused on combat encounters only as we want to ensure everyone has fun together). First session will be a session 0/1, both an introduction to the rules, characters, setting, and likely beginning the first objective to begin the journey. Homebrew Rules: - Death Saves rolled to privately to DM (to create some tension in battle and opportunity for skill checks) - Free action at end of turn to break grapple - If no players have the ability to use identify, some leniency will be provided via Arcana skill checks for some items. Some others may require NPC assistance to use the spell at DM discretion (to allow more player freedom at least in the early game) Character Creation Restrictions: - No Spelljammer - Outside races from Spelljammer as above, all others in published content are permitted - UA content will be at DM discretion, please ask in advance. I am fairly open to good content so long as it is not overpowered, overcomplicated (such as mystic), or effect other characters ability to have fun - Stats are either rolled in roll20 during creation (I have a blurb in discord to put into roll20 chat to have it done automatically) or point buy at your preference. If rolled stats are substantially poor, you can ask for a single reroll or to do point buy instead at DM discretion

How will character creation work

- Level 1 standard equipment - Stat rolls in roll20 chat or point buy - Character sheet to be made in advance for review prior to session 1 - Either a background/history sent via discord DM or included on the sheet, feel free to include as much or as little as you wish. The more I have to work with to include it, the easier I can include it and the more indepth we can go with it! - If a pre-generated character is needed, one will be provided based on a few quick questions of your preferences (support, high damage, tank, your preferred gender ect.)
