About the adventure

This is a game for those who like fast-paced action and a story that centers on the player characters, but which keeps a high tempo. We will be playing in the world of Eberron, starting on the frontiers of Breland near the Greywall Mountains. Players will start between levels 3-5 to be determined at the Session Zero (which will be free!). As players explore the area, they will play through a hex-crawl allowing for spontaneous adventures, the discovery of deeper secrets, and enriching the aspects of wilderness travel. Players will explore the Graywall mountains, the fiendish lands of Drooam, or possibly even go north into the Eldeen Reaches and the Demon Wastes, depending on their choices. Do you dare to wander these dangerous lands and discover what the Daughters of Sora Kell mean to do with their newly fledged nation of Drooam? To see what the Lords of Dust are unearthing? Setting: Steampunk, Wild West, Cowboys and Gnolls, Frontier Exploration! I create short story arc's that interweave with a longer campaign, with each arc being between 5-10 sessions in length generally. This allows people to pop in and out of the story if they want, or continue along with the entire campaign. I believe that D&D is fun and light-hearted and should be a celebration of people's personalities. We tell a story together, we create fun together!

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players should have a webcam and mic. We will discuss during session zero what platforms people prefer to play on. It will be either Owlbear Rodeo or Fantasy Grounds, I have experience with both systems. Have a read through the character creation and introduction chapters of "Eberron: Rising from the Last War".

What I provide

I will bring a Pro license of Fantasy Grounds Unity, so players would be able to just download the demo version. I will bring maps for the online battles.

Gameplay details

The game contains elements about industrialization and the settling of frontiers with a monstrous twist. Dragonmark Houses will be present, as will elements of the monsters of Drooam and the old Dhakaani empire. It will be a Steampunk/Magicpunk theme set in a spaghetti western that focuses on fast-paced action and the exploration of a western landscape. We will keep it light-hearted and fun. We will use a X,N,O system from the TTRPG safety toolkit.

How will character creation work

We will have a session zero where we can discuss the group composition and potential backstories that tie this group together. We can create a common goal during this process. I will consider all character choices, as long as it's at least been published as UA. I encourage players to look at "Eberron: Rising from the Last War" as a resource of "The Explorer's Guide to Eberron" both of which I can provide copies of.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: High
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
