Forgotten Relics: An Intro to Eberron.

About the adventure

We will be running Forgotten Relics, the introductory adventure from Eberron: Rising from the Last War. This is a great intro to the pulp-noir setting of Eberron. You'll see familiar faces: elves and gnolls, wizards and bards, but in an urban, swashbuckling adventure world that is very different from the medieval fantasy typical of D&D campaigns. We will be playing over three sessions. If the group completes the main adventure early, and makes the right choices, there will be a 'bonus mission' at the end. There are some amazing scenes for social role play in this adventure. Characters will have a background relevant to the story, but we will not be focusing heavily on how everyone got here. The combat in this adventure is set up for fast, exciting play. This game features encounters that really emphasize the difference between Eberron and the other D&D settings. There is one scene in particular that players who enjoy tactical combat will enjoy.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Your #1 priority is to have a working microphone, headset, and a stable internet connection. If you have those, I am always happy to help you through everything else. You will need access to Discord for voice chat. This can be on your computer or mobile device. Video chat is optional. You will need free accounts on dndbeyond.com and roll20.net. You can choose or build your character on DnD Beyond ahead of time if you like. If possible, you should also install the browser extension, "Beyond20" which will make your life much easier by letting you use DnD Beyond, Roll20, and Discord together. If you need help getting any of these set up, please contact me and I will be glad to help you out.

What I provide

I will be providing all D&D sourcebooks, which I can share with you on dndbeyond.com. I will have these available at least two days before the game starts, usually much sooner. I will also provide the virtual maps and tokens via Roll20.

Gameplay details

The game includes themes of discrimination against and exploitation of immigrants and war veterans. There is violence, including murder. We will be using the built in Safety Deck on Roll20, which includes Red (Stop), Yellow (Caution), and Green (Yes/Continue) cards.

How will character creation work

Party will be level 1. Characters will be hosted on DnD beyond. I will provide pre-made characters. I strongly suggest brand new players use these. If you are familiar with character creation and would like to make your own you may. Any official, published D&D material is allowed. No unearthed arcana. Use Point Buy or Standard Array for abilities. If you need assistance, I will be available at least an hour before game start to help you get going.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
