About the adventure
Father Earth hates his children. Humanity must band together to survive his wrath. Dive into the world of the Fifth Season Roleplaying game and help your comm scratch out an existence in The Stillness. This is a one-shot preview of the upcoming Fifth Season RPG, based on the award-winning Broken Earth trilogy by N. K. Jemesin. You don't need to have read the novels to understand the world, just know that, due to periotic geological cataclysms, humanity has reorganized into hyper-efficient, pragmatic, and insular communities called "comms", in which members are expected to put the needs of the comm above their own during the "quiet" seasons to give everyone the best chance to survival the deadly tantrums of the earth knows as the "Fifth" seasons. In this game you will: 🔎 Investigate the source of damaged or stolen crops that are necessary for the comm's survival! 🗡️Solve a murder! 🔥 Break up (or foment?) a riotous crowd bent on revenge! ⚖️Mete out punishment and justice to best balance a community's demands for justice with the best interests of a resource-strapped town. This game uses a modified Adventure Game Engine system. There will be five pre-generated characters.

How to prepare
You will need a webcam/mic, Roll20 account, and Discord account. It will help if you all at least look over the quickstart rules brief, but if you can at least know where everything is on a character sheet that will be enough to start playing!

We will be using the Fifth Season quickstart module on Roll20. This has a ton of cheat-sheets and table about specific rules things, which I will make available in other formats as well.
