About the adventure

Humble performers become leaders of the Circus of Wayward Wonders when tragedy strikes. But as these heroes lead their motley band of performers and roustabouts around the Isle of Kortos, they uncover a sinister plot to exterminate life from the Starstone Isle. The dead god Aroden may be gone, but his legacy lives on, as do his old enemies who would destroy the wonders he raised from the sea. Spectacle meets savagery as the heroes strive to stop the Extinction Curse! Extinction Curse is a Pathfinder 2nd Edition Adventure Path designed to take players from humble level one to the impressive heights of level twenty as you navigate your way through murders, monsters, and mayhem—and, of course, attempt to put on the greatest show the Starstone Isle has ever seen.

How to prepare

Please familiarize yourself with the character sheet, as well as things like your character's AC, resistances, or attack rolls before the session. It will also be helpful for all if you come into the game with at least some understanding of the Pathfinder 2e system. I am happy to help with any of this, so please don't feel like I'm trying to load you down with homework! Please have a functioning microphone and a Roll20 account to play.

What I provide

As this is a digital game, I can unfortunately not provide the dice, although I am happy to share pictures of dice to soothe the ache.

Gameplay details

Extinction Curse will generally present you with a combination of roleplay opportunities as well as hostile encounters to be dealt with (not necessarily through violence, although of course, violence is always an option). Please note there is the potential for violence, harm to animals, and disturbing imagery (mostly in the form of evil clowns) for The Show Must Go On. As a GM I use the lines-and-veils mechanism to attempt to prevent anyone from being forced to interact with content they find specifically upsetting. Additionally, I have an implemented an X-Card variant where all players have access to an X-Card character sheet and may either drag the card onto the map or change their chat identification to the X-Card "character" and signal in chat to anonymously move play in a different direction.

How will character creation work

Characters will begin at level one. I am offering a free session zero for character creation and an introduction to gameplay mechanics to help facilitate session one going smoothly and am also available to schedule one-on-one time with players to help them understand the character mechanics of Pathfinder 2e. I accept character builds from all published Paizo materials with the exception of rare ancestries (common or uncommon only, please!).

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
