About the adventure

Long ago, a starship fell from the skies of Sereth, an uncharted planet at the edge of the galaxy. The damaged ship crashed into the mountainous region in the nation of Thalis known as the Barrier Peaks. From the crashed ship, otherworldly beasts and malfunctioning machines began to spread across the land. A band of adventurers journeyed to the starship and ended these threats. The ship's arrival set in motion a series of events that would change Thalis for generations. The merging of magic and machine would herald the rise and devastating fall of a magitech empire. To save themselves from cataclysm, the people of Thalis forged five demiplanar regions known as Veiled Realms to shield their homes from the blighted lands. Centuries later, memories of the old empire and its legendary heroes have been lost to myth and legend. Deep within the heart of the ship something awakens. It calls out into the stars with a message that will forever change the fate of Thalis and all its people.

How to prepare

We'll be using Zoom and Role for our game, so you'll need a couple of things in order to prepared. For Zoom: - A free Zoom account. - A working microphone - headphones (recommended in case you're playing in an environment where others might hear the game). - a camera is recommended, as we'll be doing a video call. For Roll20: - A free Roll20 account. - A compatible browser that works with Roll20 (Firefox is recommended) For D&D Beyond: - A free D&D Beyond account. - A compatible browser that works with D&D Beyond (Firefox is recommended)

What I provide

Hundreds of hours of experience running intriguing narrative driven D&D and Esper Genesis Optionally, a recorded session for later viewing uploaded to a private YouTube playlist.

Gameplay details

D&D is a game of fantasy and adventure. Esper Genesis is a game of space opera. Sometimes... both contain violence and horror. So we will definitely discuss safety tools at the beginning of the sessions, set clear limits on where they story will not go and then do a check in after the game.

How will character creation work

We'll be playing in two systems (D&D 5e and Esper Genesis) and will create characters for both systems. Our D&D Characters will be created in D&D Beyond. Our Esper Genesis Characters will be in roll20, which will also serve as our game table. We'll start with a Session Zero, which will include the opportunity to create characters for all of the players. Pre-Gen characters will also be available for all classes for players who are interested. We'll establish some of the other elements of the game and then begin.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
