About the adventure
Elementia (my home-brew setting) is one of the oldest continents in the Forgotten Realms. Like all places, it has had its share of racial/social/political issues in the past, but the majority of it happened so long ago that it is hardly relevant any more. All types of people have been peacefully coexisting in Elementia for so long that they didn't even have an established political system or economy until 1000 years ago. Some believe that Elementia's penchant for peace is a result of an ancient agreement made among the gods to declare Elementia off limits from direct divine or infernal intervention. It is currently the year 2002 in the Elementian calendar. The heroes of our story have each been referred to the town of Dirton in the North of Elementia by a friendly, yet mysterious acquaintance named Rich True-Tree. They all have their own reasons, but each adventurer has begun to suspect that things in Dirton are not quite as peaceful as they appear...

How to prepare
Prior to the game, each player should have the following: -A completed character sheet (level 1) in my DnDBeyond campaign. -A computer. -Functional headphones, a microphone, and a camera all connected to your computer and ready to use. -The Zoom app downloaded and ready to use on their computer. -A reliable internet connection. -An idea for how to introduce/describe your character to the other players. -A picture to represent your character.
What I provide
For the game, I will provide: -Use of my DnDBeyond campaign with access to all the official 5e sourcebooks (with the exception of any recent publications). -A robust world and story to take part in. -A play style driven by character choices and collaborative storytelling. -Detailed, custom-made maps (where applicable). -Voice acting of various unique characters. -An inclusive and welcoming attitude 😀
Gameplay details
Prior to beginning the game, we will discuss the open door safety policy, when we will take breaks, and we will confirm that everyone knows the X/N/O symbols and how to use them. I ask that everyone hold up their arms or hands on camera as the X/N/O symbols, but if that does not work for anyone, we can easily find another method. Throughout the session, I will share my photoshop window with you via Zoom. This is how you will see battle maps, character pictures, and other game-related content as well as hear music. It's not unlike other VTTs except I move everyone's tokens for them.

How will character creation work
Players will create level 1 characters on DnDBeyond.com (DDB). After you sign up, you will see a link to my DDB Campaign under the "Prep Materials" section of the adventure. For any new players, I am happy to schedule one-on-one time to help them make a character sheet prior to the game. Otherwise, players will make character sheets on their own. Character Creation Guidelines: -Standard array or point buy to set ability scores. -Add starting equipment to your inventory OR the random amount of gold associated with your character’s background (not both) -No homebrew content or anything that's not in the official D&D sourcebooks (unless explicitly authorized by the GM). -Please choose a picture to represent your character and send it to me. You can send me the picture directly via discord or send me a link to the picture via SPG. -Message me if you need help or have any questions!
