About the adventure

"Weep this day, my fellow Cyrans, and never forget. But tomorrow... tomorrow we begin to hunt down this villain, to demand justice, and to rebuild beloved, cherished Cyre. Tomorrow! Tomorrow we shall go home!" — Prince Oargev, Address to the Cyran Refugees at the Brelish Camp, 994 YK The year is 1014 YK. Two decades after the end of the apocalyptic Last War. An entire generation of Cyrans has been born and raised hearing only stories of their once wondrous homeland. Raised within the ramshackle palisades of New Cyre, under the stewardship of Prince Oargev ir'Wyrnarn - last of his line - who has fought tooth and nail for years to transform what was once little more than a massive refugee camp into a community all its own. Heavy is the head that wears the crown... which is where you come in. Some of you might be patriots, others opportunists, but all of your have been retained by the Prince to serve as agents on his behalf, as the Cyran people struggle to eke out a new place in the world. This is a D&D 5e Campaign set in the world of Eberron, in which your adventuring party - united by a common Cyran heritage - will quest out into Khorvaire to support this still-tenuous settlement, in the face of enemies new and old. What choices they make and deals they strike will have massive repercussions for the future of Cyre...

How to prepare

Some foreknowledge of Eberron as a setting is essential, as it helps with the investment and overall storytelling experience. In terms of technology, players will need access to Discord, as well as some form of mic/headset. Foundry VTT will be used to both roll dice and display battle maps.

What I provide

The story, the setting, the supplements (as I'm utterly obsessed with Eberron and therefore own ALL the 3rd party toys), the servers, and my sparkling personality.

Gameplay details

Players will be starting out as 3rd-level characters, each of which will have connection to Cyran society or the town of New Cyre. The exact details of said connection, as well as their relationship to the other characters and NPCs involved, will all be fleshed out during Session 0. Obviously, some familiarity with the setting beforehand is encouraged (Resources I personally recommend are "Eberron: Rising from the Last War", as well as Keith Baker's 3rd Party supplements - "Exploring Eberron" and the "Chronicles of Eberron"). Naturally, its also going to deal with some very heavy topics, such as massed warfare, political agendas, nationalism, and so on and so forth. Obviously Lines and Veils are very important to establish beforehand, with Breaks/Aftercare used to wind down after particularly intense moments. Respecting others boundaries is PARAMOUNT. We're here to tell a story and have fun while we're doing it, after all.

How will character creation work

As stated before, characters will be built co-operatively with the other players at Session 0. In terms of raw statistics, players will be allowed to choose a feat at Level 1 (meaning that Variant Humans are not allowed), as well as starting out with two magic items of their choice (two Common rarity wondrous items, or one Uncommon rarity weapon, shield, or set of armor).

Players can expect
