Beginner Workshop for D&D 5th Ed

About the adventure

This game is designed to teach the fundamentals of the Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition (D&D 5e) tabletop role-playing game. We will cover topics such as character creation, rounding out your character, mechanics and the fantasy world, and culminate in having an actual adventure with the character that you create. I have run this workshop in corporate settings for teambuilding exercises, in educational settings for improving situational and social awareness, and in recreational settings just to have some fun. I have run campaigns for beginners all the way through seasoned players. I look forward to seeing you and meeting you soon!

How to prepare

Players should have access to a microphone. Webcams are entirely optional. Also, as an optional tool, players should set up a free account on D&D Beyond. Players should also have a Discord account setup.

What I provide

I will provide all the resources necessary to create characters and play an actual adventure.

Gameplay details

This session will exercise practices to keep the content and discussion safe for all ages. Expectations will be communicated clearly and I will make sure that these games are safe for players of all ages, including minors.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created together and will ultimately be used in an actual adventure.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
