About the adventure
This 'class' is a walk through of the history of D&D, why there are different editions, classes, and races...and a step by step run through of the character sheet. Along the way we will be running a simple adventure that uses the character sheet to exemplify what each section means and how it works.
Additional Details
How to prepare
You will need a set of polyhedral dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20) - if you don't own dice, there are digital rollers available. I recommend Teal Dice (http://a.teall.info/dice/). The Beginners Box Set, The Essentials Kit, or a Players Handbook are what most new players have, but none are needed.
What I provide
Everything will be online. I have a Google Slides presentation that we use to follow along through the character sheet. We will use Owlbear Rodeo to run a short encounter at the end.
Gameplay details
This is a 'I am new to 5th edition' one-time 'game' that will feel more like a class. It is meant to get new players comfortable at future tables. Role playing will be present, but is not the main focus. Breaking down the character sheet is the main focus.

How will character creation work
