Dungeons & Dragons 5e - Hoard of the Dragon Queen / Tyranny of Dragons. 💚 Are you ready to roll some dice?

About the adventure

Ho Adventurer! Please stay a while and listen! We will be starting "Hoard of the Dragon Queen" with first level characters. This game will run from May 2023 until early Jan 2024 (we should be completed before then). - If you are a new player and are looking for a fun and relaxed way to learn how to play D&D, then this is the game for you! - If you already play D&D and are looking for another game or are a GM looking for a game to play in, then this is for you too! Let's roll some dice and have fun. Whether you are an experienced player looking to practice your character voices, get some extra adventuring in, or want to try out a new character type or a new player looking to learn how to play an adventure, you are in the right place. We will be using Foundry VTT and Discord to host our game. There will be maps, music and more! At Only Dragons we are currently running Rime of the Frost Maiden, Curse of Strahd, Tyranny of Dragons, Lost Mines of Phandelver, Dragon of Icespire Peak, and Dragons of Stormwreck Isle in addition to various other one-shot adventures. We are currently running games every night of the week. Come for the game, stay for the community and adventures!

Additional Details

How to prepare

Working Mic is needed. You will need to set up free accounts on the following sites in order to play: D&D beyond, Discord (voice) and Foundry VTT (virtual table top). All of these are free. Webcam is optional. You will need a working laptop, PC, Mac or tablet for VTT functionality.

What I provide

I provide players in my campaigns access to Players Handbook, Sword Coast Adventurer's guide, Eberron: Rising from the Last War, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Xanathar's Guide to Everything on dndbeyond so they can customize their characters. I'll provide the access to discord and the Foundry VTT along with the usual amount shenanigans, intrigue, action, adventure, and of course some over-the-top character voices.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a fun game with rules light experience. No previous experience required. Feel free to try out roleplaying while learning how to play D&D. We will go over rules in session zero and explain breaks, lines and veils, etc.

How will character creation work

Players can use standard array, rolling or point buy to create their characters using the races/classes listed in the Player's Handbook or any other books you have access to. In the meantime, you can totally think about the type of character you'd like to play, and I will do my best to help you choose a race/class combination that will fit the type of character you're looking to play! We can roll them up prior to session zero or we can spend time in session zero to rollup your character.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
