Dungeon World - The Planarch Vault

About the adventure

You’ve just landed on the Planarch Vault, a sky-fortress built to hold criminals too dangerous to simply kill. It’s guarded by a team of wardens, mighty warriors each - but last week they didn’t report in. You’ve been sent to find out why. Your job is to infiltrate the complex, rescue the wardens if possible, and ensure the vault is secure.

How to prepare

If you already know Dungeon World, that's helpful, but not required. You can bring your existing Dungeon World character to this adventure. If we are playing in person, I will have character sheets (playbooks) for you to use. Please bring 2 six-sided dice and a pencil.

What I provide

If in person, I'll have extra dice to borrow and character sheets.

Gameplay details

I use the X card, Lines and Veils, and Script Change safety tools. If this is a one-shot, the first part of the session will be spent setting up safety tools and customizing characters. This adventure's content notes are: imprisonment, violence

How will character creation work

We'll create characters at the table, or if you have an existing Dungeon World character, you can bring them to the game. If this is a one-shot, there will be pre-generated characters to start with, which we will customize during the first hour of the game. If this is a campaign, we will create characters during the session zero (which is free).

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
