Dungeon of the Mad Mage: Undermountain Awaits!

About the adventure

Legend has it that glory and treasure await you within the halls of Undermountain. Many have come and gone before, some becoming rich and powerful beyond your wildest dreams, many others never coming back. Despite all the stories, nobody has ever defeated the mad mage who rules Undermountain from far below and claimed whatever power he holds. Yet, despite all of this, people still try. People like you. With the aid of many, including the walls of the dungeon itself, you may find yourself toe-to-toe with the ancient foe! This is a massive dungeon crawl in Toril's largest dungeon, full of traps and turns. Beginners and veterans alike are welcome!

How to prepare

You will need a microphone and discord installed (either on your phone or computer). Then, you will need a roll20 account (you can make one during session 0 if need be) and have either Chrome, Firefox or Opera installed (roll20 sometimes doesn't play nice with Edge). If you want to use Dndbeyond's character sheet, you will need the browser addon beyond20. Otherwise you can use the sheets provided in roll20.

What I provide

I will have everything digitally made. If you are willing to use roll20's character sheet, I have access to all of the books (physically), so I can help you fill out manually all the class features you would like.

Gameplay details

This game contains violence and may contain themes of racism, gaslighting, and abuse. I have a session 0 to ensure everyone is ok with the material. I use the lines and veils safety tools. I can omit whatever is not acceptable. If you are not present for the session 0, we can do a one-on-one to ensure that I am not pushing on phobias, fears, traumas, or uncomfortable scenarios.

How will character creation work

We will start the campaign at level 5. We will have a session 0 where you are welcome to make a character, or we can do a one-on-one (especially since this campaign is usually a continuation of an earlier campaign). If we do a one-on-one, I will go over phobias, fears, and material you may find uncomfortable.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
