About the adventure

Most people don’t believe in monsters, but you know the truth. They’re real, and it’s your task to bring them down. Monster of the Week is a standalone action-horror RPG for 3-5 people. Hunt high school beasties a la Buffy the Vampire Slayer, travel the country to bring down unnatural creatures like the Winchester brothers of Supernatural, or head up the government investigation like Mulder and Scully. Your hunters aren’t normal people; you’re not even normal monster hunters. You are the ones who stand out, larger than life and twice as badass. You can change the world—save it, destroy it, or alter it forever. One way or another, you will make a difference. The year is 2015 you are a group of hunters tasked with taking down the things that go bump in the night. Your group recently got ahold of some disturbing information about a village called Handfast. There have been accounts from a number of homes in town of food spoiling overnight, knives being blunted, objects being thrown about, and appliances failing. Even more worrying are the reports of one unusual weather event after another: a summer heatwave, a tornado, flooding. It is your job find what is happening to this village and put a stop to it.

Gameplay details

CODE OF CONDUCT - NO Bullying, hazing, or otherwise picking on a fellow character. You are a team and as such will treat each other with respect. - NO Sexual content (sweet talking may be used as a form of persuasion but ONLY with NPCs) - NO Shutting down other players ideas or actions. Each player has a chance to voice their thoughts or intent. If you say "My character will try..." after I determine if the game allows that action, we will then play out the outcome. If you ask the party for their opinion, then that action can be decided upon by the group (in or out of character). There are no wrong answer or suggestions. If during a live game something comes up that is making you uncomfortable, please speak up and the event/action will cease immediately.
