Dread Pass - Part One - Bloodhorn Blues (Beginner/Intro Game)

About the adventure

Rumors speak of hordes of monsters that inhabit the cliffs and crags of the Thunder Peaks. The tall, forbidding spires frown down upon you as you enter the mountain pass. As the rocky track ciimbs ever upwards, loose stones clatter down the mountainside in accompaniment to the creaking of your wagon's wheels. Voices raised in argument drift down on the wind from a side path. Could it be goblins, mercenaries or something worse? This 5e adventure is designed for 4-5 players of 1st level.

How to prepare

You will need a webcam/speakers and microphone or a headset. Little or no prior knowledge of the rules is not a problem. You may use a digital copy or hardcopy of your character sheet. Either virtual dice or real dice are acceptable. You must have a discord account. If you have a copy of the player's handbook for 5e, that's great, but you don't need it.

What I provide

The GM uses real dice and will provide all of the on-camera terrain, minis and the silly and scary voices. As mentioned above, if I know what kind of character you are playing, I will print a miniature for you to use during the game.

Gameplay details

This is a beginner game with an experienced GM, so extensive knowledge of the rules is not required. The role-play to combat ratio is approximately 50-50. The GM will provide minis and custom terrain for the session. Safety will be discussed before the session. This adventure is rated G to PG , but X,N,O cards will be used as a safety measure if all are in agreement. Requirements: a 5e character*, a discord account, dice (real or virtual), microphone/speakers or a headset. *You may create your character on your own, contact the GM for assistance, or a pre-rolled character can be provided.

How will character creation work

Players can create a character on their own, ask the GM for assistance before the session, or a pre-rolled character may be provided. If you let me know about your character ahead of time, I will print you a miniature figure that we can use during the session (unpainted).

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
