Dungeons & Dragons 5e, Homebrew Game on Foundry VTT
About the adventure
Name's Val, and as a sole DM I'm here to look for players for a new session that I'm going to start soon using Dnd 5e on the new Foundry VTT app. For those unfamiliar, the app has hundreds of modules to pick and choose from that alter the gameplay greatly, but only I have to install. As a player you will only have to worry about making your character and logging in through an URL I will provide. The campaign and module of my creation features a great number of alterations and additions to the 5e system that turn the gameplay into a very unique experience. The more remarkable in my opinion are: -Changes to combat that give more chances to prove one's skill (rock, paper, scissors sort of system where you must predict, counter and trick your opponent) -A classless system that rewards your adventures with spells, abilities, and proficiencies depending on what you seek as a form of true customization freedom. -Fully-fledged custom (and rarely balanced) professions and pastimes to be carried out during rests that further improve character and build customization. (Ex: Enchanting, blacksmithing, alchemy... music, lockpicking, cartography...) and -A great focus on survival, proper dealing of heavy wounds and other very hard obstacles that I always felt were greatly underrepresented in dnd. The time and day is to be decided by the group when complete. The duration of the campaign is indefinite, which can, and has, lasted for years in the past. You can expect to make some life long friends with us. I charge something around ~15$ per session.
How to prepare
I would absolutely love for all of us to use a camera, but, sadly, it is a lot more usual for people to be reticent. We allow for everything to be used, but an understandable mic quality is the minimal. There is no software o real materials to be purchased. Just a pc with any browser installed, 4 hours to waste and snacks... also water... don't forget to stay hydrated.
What I provide
The content of the campaign is virtual entirely.
As any good dm would, i adapt to the needs of every group, and request feedback often, so that i can do so me accurately. My games are known for starting the players in the lowest of the low, but allowing infinite potential for the players. Nothing is impossible, some things just take a little longer than others. Having to cooperate and socially flow with the other players personalities and tastes is going to be the main way to deal with gameplay. For those worried about any aspect being underrepresented i must admit that i find both types of gameplay, roleplay and combat, equally indispensable, and promote which ever hasn't happened enough at any given time. The sessions have a lot of planning behind them, but i always expect and allow for my plans to be ignored and improvise accordingly.

How will character creation work
Lvl 0, my new module requires for the pcs to start as a blank slate in terms of combat capabilities. Work on a concept and a backstory first, don't worry about it not fitting the world, we'll work together to adapt it. Also, some of our homebrew rules affect character creation greatly, so, in case creating yours is a bit of a hassle, wait until you know them to start.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: High
- Roleplay: High
- Puzzles: Medium
- Experience Level: None
