Dragon Age: Origins (5E Modification)

About the adventure

This campaign is designed to take you through the Dragon Age: Origins video game, but as a party using modified 5th Edition rules. The Chantry teaches us that it is the hubris of men which brought the darkspawn into our world. The mages had sought to usurp Heaven, but instead they destroyed it. They were cast out, twisted and cursed by their own corruption. They returned as monsters, the first of the darkspawn. They became a Blight upon the land, unstoppable and relentless. The dwarven kingdoms were the first to fall. And from the Deep Roads, the darkspawn drove at us again and again...until finally we neared annihilation. Until the Grey Wardens came. Men and women from every race, warriors and mages, barbarians and kings. The Grey Wardens sacrificed everything to stem the tide of darkness... and prevailed. It has been four centuries since that victory and we have kept our vigil. We have watched and waited for the darkspawn to return... But those who once called us heroes... have forgotten. We are few now, and our warnings have been ignored for too long. It may even be too late... for I have seen with my own eyes what lies on the horizon. Maker, help us all.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You'll need a mic and access to Roll20 and Discord. There shouldn't be any need to get acquainted with the world beforehand. I'll have plenty of handouts for your character as well as notes for you as you progress through the game.

What I provide

Dice are not required as Roll20 has a die roller of its own. Players can absolutely use their own dice with the honor system in place. On Roll20 I'll be able to provide maps, battlemaps and creature tokens. Players should provide their own picture of their character so I can use it as a token as we go forward.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 3 after going over their background extensively. Characters will be created on Roll20 with Discord being used for voice chat. We'll be using Pathfinder's Point Buy system, but with only 10 Points (you'll get 1 ability score increase point each level you attain). All character sheets, any dice or additional requirements can be provided on Roll20 or Discord (both free programs).

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
