About the adventure

👑 The God King, Vecna, and his corrupted followers rule the world 💀 Resurrected after the climactic battle two centuries before, you are chosen to help spark the next Revolution 💪 Strengthen the cause by recruiting, training, and equipping your soldiers and followers ⚔️ Wage a secret war against all odds to defeat the diabolical agents of the Whispered One; including Cultists, Wights, Death Knights and Liches. The Gods were dead. Betrayed and slaughtered by one of their own; Vecna, the Whispered One, God of undeath, secrets, and shadow. The Divine Realm fell from the sky, its radiant shards crashing into the world like vengeful falling stars. The resulting explosion echoed through the Multiverse and rent the fabric of reality, allowing corrupt magic to undermine the world's natural order. Since then prayers failed, a mysterious Blight infested the forests, the skies blackened and oceans boiled. If any Gods remained in this corpse of a world, they ignored the desperate pleas of their subjects. The Whispered One used his power over undeath to sweep the lands clean of all violent resistance as his hand-picked followers took positions of power in the remaining Nations and Kingdoms. Two hundred years of subjugation have ravaged the old Kingdoms of Erebos, where the great battle that would decide the fate of all was waged...and lost. Now, the lights of civilization are going out. Swells of refugees have taken to the roads, desperate to find homes far from all the suffering. Creatures of long-forgotten folklore once again stalk the countryside. It is a time of ill omens and unlikely heroes.

Additional Details

How to prepare

In order to play you will need a Discord account as well as a clear microphone. Video optional. I enjoy using use Owlbear Rodeo to make online TTRPG's feel like an in-person game. My improv-heavy style lends itself well to the simplicity of the platform. We will go over the details and tips of the platform in session 0. Once in the Discord server, you will be given a role that will reveal the next steps for your Character setup.

What I provide

A sandbox setting tailor-made for the group. Atmospheric Soundtrack using Spotify and KenkuFM. A simple but powerful virtual tabletop, Owlbear Rodeo is quick to learn and versatile during gameplay. DnD 5e core rulebooks as well as third-party expansions to help make this campaign special and unique. -These titles include Bloodied & Bruised, Hamund's Harvesting Handbook, The Armorer’s Handbook, Tome of Beasts 1 + 2, Dragonix Monster Manual 1 + 2, Monster Loot, Mount Expansion, and Strongholds and Followers. I bring hundreds of hours of player-driven GMing experience to the table and degrees in Creative Writing and game design to facilitate compelling narratives and create unique mechanics for the players.

Gameplay details

Join this campaign if you're interested in: Gruesome depictions of death & violence in a dark, gothic world overcome with endless war and darkness. You will have the power to change the world for the better. Living in a grimdark world with endless conflict and adventure and exploring wastelands with dynamic survival and travel mechanics. Create, recruit for, and establish a rebellion to defeat the dark God residing over the world. Other than that, the players will have creative freedom in how they tackle quests and adventures. Leveling up will be based on milestones achieved as you build up the rebellion and defeat Vecna's minions.

How will character creation work

Join the group Discord and fill out the Consent Form Gain your Role to access your group and meet the others Discuss the setting and themes as well as troubling tales to establish your party's origin As a group, roll Attributes in the public chat (3d6) Using provided tables, roll your starting wealth and equipment Get into the game with a hot start

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
